Trojans Soar But Lose Close Match At Rose State College
In a game that was billed to be a great game with two of the best teams in the region, Sunday’s Showdown between Seminole State and Rose State did not disappoint. The Trojans came out fast and finished the game strong, but could not find the back of the net. Rose State got a goal with 23 minutes left to play, and the Trojans could not recover. Seminole was the more aggressive team creating 20 shots in the contest compared to 4 from Rose State and garnered 72.6% possession. However, at the end of the day Rose won the stat that mattered with their late goal. The back and forth play from both teams was exciting to watch! Rose was very dangerous on set pieces throughout the contest, but the Trojans held their own to defend their goal. Multiple chances by the Trojans were missed to tie or win the contest. It was a great day of soccer for Region 2, featuring two outstanding teams.
